2025-September & October NEWSLETTER
2025-September & October NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the September and October 2025 Newsletter.
I’m still working hard on the West Trip photos and Ireland to get them all processed and onto the website. In the meantime, you can check out about 250 of them on my Instagram site (daleblakephotography1). Look for Road Trip Pt 1, Pt 2 & Pt 3. There are also photos of the Ireland trip which can be found in Ireland and Ireland 1 on the Instagram page. Many of these are also being prepared to be placed on the website.
I will have some new products coming soon and will tell you more about them as they are released. I’m working on a calendar for 2026 which will showcase many of the local photographs in our files. I’ll be publishing some of the calendar photos in the upcoming newsletters in Stories Behind the Photos. Let me know if you are interested in the calendars. I am still working on the preparation of the calendars and at this time I don’t know what the exact price of them will be, but this information will be out as soon as possible.
I’ll also be offering grouped prints featuring botanical, nature and other photos. Typically, these will consist of an 8×10 framed print with four to six smaller framed prints (5×7 and 4×6) that are grouped with the larger print. You can make your own arrangement to suit the display space you have available. If there are other photos that you would like to have in a group, contact me and I will put them together for you. I can deliver them as prints only, on canvas, unframed or as a framed set. Call or email to discuss your personal needs and the price of your grouping.
I am now offering Real Estate Photography services. If you plan to sell your home or other real estate, call and set up an appointment to have your property photographed. I can also provide aerial photos without having to use a drone. This is a more reasonable approach and, in most cases, a less expensive aerial photo and can be done quickly. I am in the process of obtaining a Part 107 Drone license which will allow use of the drone as well for commercial purposes. Contact us for more information and rates.
If you call me and I don’t answer, please leave me a message and I’ll return your call as soon as possible. I may be in a session or in some cases, unidentified calls are identified as spam and sent to voice mail. I check the voicemail regularly and will return your call as soon as possible.
THE STORIES BEHIND THE PHOTOS:
This area of the newsletter is where I’ll tell you more about some of the photos and how they were taken. If you have questions about these photos and the technical and photography details, email or call me and we can discuss them. If you get my voice mail, please leave me a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible
Beach Crab
This little crab was very interested in us and what we were doing on his beach. He circled around us and watched us closely. Wherever he was, he could disappear into a hole anytime anyone came near.
Vero Beach Sunrise
It’s much easier to get up early when you can see something like this beautiful sunrise. It was very interesting to watch and photograph the changing colors and patterns as the sun made its way to the horizon. With sunrises and sunsets, it’s always a good idea to be there before the sun rises and after the sun sets. The before and after glows from these can be spectacular.
A Sample of the Hampton Roads, Fourth of July Fireworks display
Location can be critical for getting the best view of the fireworks display. This past fourth of July, we were blessed by two friends who allowed us to use their pier as a vantage point. It turned out to be, possibly, the best view on the bay. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity.
GRAND FINALE WAS SPECTACULAR!!
A Day at Mckee Botanical Gardens, Vero Beach, Florida
A couple of years ago we were making our annual visit to Vero Beach, Florida, and found out about the McKee Botanical Gardens. Visiting this beautiful nature display turned out to be one the highlights of the Vero Beach trip. It seems like every time I go there; I always find something new and beautiful to photograph. Sometimes, it’s hard to select the best ones to use in the newsletter. Some of these will be on the website and give you a great choice for a photo grouping. I hope you enjoy this walk through the Garden.
UPCOMING TRIPS AND ADVENTURES:
In October, we will be heading in the camper van to Niagara Falls, Mackinac Island and on to the Wisconsin Dells. Can’t wait to photograph the waterfalls and the fall trees and colors in Northern Michigan.
More fall trips are still in the planning process including a trip to Blue Ridge Mountains for look at the waterfall loop with approximately 15 falls, all within reach from the highway.
